AISI 1010 carbon steel/S10C is a kind of steel material with good plasticity and toughness, easy to be formed by cold and hot working, good machinability after normalizing or hard working, good weldability, no temper brittleness, and poor hardenability and hardenability.

It is used to manufacture parts with low stress and high toughness, such as automobile bodies, containers, deep stamping vessels, tubes, gaskets, etc. It can be used for cold rolling, cold punching, cold heading, cold bending, hot rolling, and other processes, as well as carburizing parts with low central strength, carbonitriding parts, etc

This standard specifies the size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks, and quality certificates of high-quality carbon structural steel hot-rolled steel sheets and strips. This standard applies to hot-rolled high-quality carbon structural steel sheets and ribbons with a thickness not greater than 100 mm and a width not less than 600 mm.

1. In terms of chemical composition, the carbon content is different.

2. Due to the different carbon content, their mechanical properties are different.

3. Compared with C20 / S25C / 1020 steel, AISI 1010 carbon steel/S10C steel has lower strength and hardness; The plasticity and sewing ability of AISI 1010 carbon steel/S10C steel is better than that of C20 / S25C / 1020 steel, which means it is softer.
