Product Overview

A swage nipple is a forged or seamless pipe fitting used to connect pipes of different diameters. Unlike reducers, swage nipples feature straight parallel threads or plain ends suitable for welding, making them ideal for instrument connections, sample points, and threaded pipeline reductions.

Huaxia-Steel produces both concentric swage nipples (common centerline) and eccentric swage nipples (offset centerline) to match your piping layout requirements.

Manufacturing Process

Huaxia-Steel swage nipples are produced through controlled manufacturing processes ensuring dimensional accuracy and mechanical integrity:

  1. Raw material selection: Seamless pipe or forged bar stock from certified mills
  2. Heat treatment: Normalizing at 850-920°C for grain refinement
  3. Forming: Hot forging or cold forming to swage geometry
  4. Machining: CNC turning for precise thread profiles (NPT, BSPT per ASME B1.20.1)
  5. Surface finishing: Shot blasting, phosphating, or black oxide coating
  6. Inspection: Dimensional CMM, thread gauge check, hydrostatic test (if required)
  7. Marking and certification: Size, grade, heat number, standard compliance
