API 5L Grade B line pipe is the global specification baseline for oil, gas, and water transmission pipelines. Available in PSL1 and PSL2, and in multiple manufacturing routes (ERW, LSAW, SSAW, SMLS), API 5L Gr.B covers the bulk of mild-strength line pipe applications from gathering systems to trunk lines and water distribution mains.
Huaxia-Steel supplies API 5L Grade B PSL1 and PSL2 line pipe factory direct from ISO-certified Chinese mills, with full MTC EN 10204 3.1, API Spec 5L compliance, third-party inspection on request, and global ocean shipping.
Product Overview
API Specification 5L is the industry standard for line pipe used in pipeline transportation systems. Published by the American Petroleum Institute, the 47th edition (2013) added numerous enhancements and clarified requirements, particularly for higher-grade steels used in modern transmission pipelines. Grade B (tensile 414 MPa minimum) is the most-popular mild-strength grade, with X42-X80 available for higher-pressure service.
