Carbon steel sheet is a flat-rolled steel product with thickness typically below 3mm, supplied in coils or cut-to-length flat sheets. It is the foundational material for automotive panels, appliance housings, ductwork, furniture, and general fabrication. Available in both hot-rolled and cold-rolled finishes, carbon steel sheet offers versatility, formability, and cost efficiency. Huaxia-Steel supplies carbon steel sheet direct from factory with full certification and competitive export pricing.
Product Overview
Our carbon steel sheets are available in two surface conditions:
Cold-Rolled (CR) Sheet: Produced by rolling hot-rolled pickled sheet at room temperature, achieving superior surface finish, tight dimensional tolerances, and enhanced formability. Ideal for applications requiring painting, plating, or deep drawing.
Hot-Rolled (HR) Sheet: Rolled at high temperature with a characteristic dark oxide surface. More economical than cold-rolled, suitable for structural applications where surface finish is not critical.
| Parameter | Cold-Rolled (CR) | Hot-Rolled (HR) |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness Range | 0.30 – 3.00 mm | 1.20 – 3.00 mm |
| Width Range | 600 – 1,500 mm | 1,000 – 2,000 mm |
| Length (cut sheet) | 1,000 – 4,000 mm | 2,000 – 6,000 mm |
| Thickness Tolerance | ±0.02 mm (t≤1.0), ±0.04 mm (t>1.0) | ±0.10 mm (t≤2.0), ±0.15 mm (t>2.0) |
| Surface Finish | Bright, smooth (Ra ≤ 0.6 μm) | Dark oxide, pickled available |
| Flatness | ≤ 3 mm/m | ≤ 5 mm/m |
