Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe
Product Overview
Carbon steel seamless pipe is manufactured by piercing a solid round billet to create a hollow tube without any welded seam. This process produces pipe with uniform wall thickness, superior pressure-holding capacity, and consistent mechanical properties throughout the cross-section — making it the preferred choice for high-pressure fluid transport, structural piling, boiler tubes, and mechanical applications where weld integrity cannot be compromised.
Huaxia-Steel supplies carbon steel seamless pipe in diameters from 21.3mm to 914mm (1/2″ to 36″) with wall thicknesses from 2.0mm to 80mm, conforming to international standards including ASTM A106, ASTM A53, API 5L, and EN 10210. All pipes are delivered with full mill test certification and optional third-party inspection.

Ovality tolerance: ±0.75% of OD for sizes up to 168.3mm; ±1.0% for larger diameters. Wall thickness tolerance: ±12.5% per ASTM A530/A530M. Length: Standard random length 5.8–12.0m; fixed lengths available on request.

Manufacturing Standards and Testing
Our seamless pipe production follows the hot-rolling (or hot-finished) process with subsequent cold-drawing for tighter tolerances where specified. Every heat undergoes:
- Chemical analysis: OES spectrometer verification of ladle and product chemistry
- Tensile testing: Yield, tensile, and elongation per applicable ASTM/EN standard
- Flattening test: Verification of ductility and weld-free integrity
- Hydrostatic testing: Each pipe tested at pressure per standard (e.g., 60% of specified minimum yield for A106)
- NDT options: Ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current testing (ECT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI) available on request
Pipe ends: Plain end (PE), bevel end (BE) 30° ±5° per ANSI B16.25, or threaded and coupled (T&C) per ANSI B1.20.1.

Packaging and Shipping
Seamless pipe is typically shipped in hexagonal or square bundles, secured with steel strapping (minimum 4 straps per bundle, 6 for lengths over 9m). Additional packaging options:
- Standard export bundle: Hexagonal bundling with steel straps, end caps on beveled ends
- Individual wrapping: Each pipe wrapped in water-resistant paper for sea freight
- Wooden crate: For small-diameter precision tubes (OD ≤60mm)
- Bulk stowage: Large-diameter pipe (>508mm OD) shipped loose in vessel hold with dunnage separation
Marking per pipe: Manufacturer logo, heat number, grade, dimensions, standard, and inspector stamp. Bundle tags include order number, destination, and gross/net weight.
