Product Overview
Huaxia-Steel supplies hot-rolled carbon steel I-beams (also known as universal beams, IPN/IPE sections) directly from the rolling mill to international B2B buyers. The I-shaped profile — two parallel flanges connected by a central web — is the most efficient steel shape for carrying bending loads, which is why I-beams remain the backbone of buildings, bridges, crane runways, racking systems, and equipment frames worldwide.
We stock and roll I-beams to ASTM A6/A36, JIS G3192, and EN 10365 (IPE/IPN) dimensions, in grades from S235JR/Q235B to S355JR/Q345B, with lengths cut to order and full EN 10204 3.1 mill certification on every shipment.

Standard Sizes and Weight Table
Below are the most frequently ordered sizes (per-meter theoretical weight for reference; rolling standards govern exact dimensions):
| Designation | Height x Width (mm) | Web (mm) | Flange (mm) | Weight (kg/m) | Comparable |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10# | 100 x 68 | 4.5 | 7.6 | 14.2 | IPE 100 region |
| 14# | 140 x 80 | 5.4 | 9.1 | 16.9 | — |
| 16# | 160 x 88 | 6.0 | 9.9 | 20.5 | IPE 160 region |
| 20a | 200 x 100 | 7.0 | 11.4 | 27.9 | — |
| 25a | 250 x 116 | 8.0 | 13.0 | 38.1 | IPE 250 region |
| 32a | 320 x 130 | 9.5 | 15.0 | 52.7 | — |
| 40a | 400 x 142 | 10.5 | 16.5 | 67.6 | IPE 400 region |
| 50a | 500 x 158 | 12.0 | 20.0 | 93.6 | — |
Also available: W-series (ASTM W4–W36), IPE 80–600, and IPN sections. Non-standard sizes and small-lot rolls available from cooperating mills with 25–35 day lead time.
Dimensional Tolerances
| Parameter | Tolerance (typical, per GB/T 706 / EN 10365) |
|---|---|
| Height (H) ≤400 mm | ±2.0 to ±3.0 mm |
| Flange width (B) ≤150 mm | ±2.0 to ±3.0 mm |
| Web thickness | ±0.5 to ±1.0 mm (thickness band dependent) |
| Straightness | ≤2 mm per meter; ≤0.15% of total length |
| Flange slope | Within standard series geometry (typically 1:6 on IPN-style rolls) |
| Length tolerance | +50 / 0 mm for cut lengths; exact cutting (±3 mm) on request |
