Product Overview
S50C plate is a general-purpose carbon steel with approximately 0.47–0.53% carbon. It is supplied in hot-rolled or normalized condition and can be through-hardened by quenching and tempering. The grade is commonly chosen for injection molds, machine bases, wear strips, and components requiring moderate hardness and wear resistance. For applications requiring higher surface hardness, S50C can be flame or induction hardened.
