Product Overview

Our A516 carbon steel plates are produced by fine-grain practice and supplied in the as-rolled or normalized condition. The grade number corresponds to minimum tensile strength: Grade 60, 65 and 70 offer increasing strength for heavier vessels and higher design pressures. All grades share excellent weldability when paired with compatible consumables and preheat.

Quality Assurance

Each plate is traceable to the originating heat. We provide EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates as standard and can arrange 3.2 or third-party inspection by SGS, TUV or BV. Tests include chemical analysis, tensile test, hardness, Charpy impact and ultrasonic testing per ASTM A578.

Packing and Shipping

Plates are separated by paper or plastic strips, strapped with steel bands and loaded on flat racks or in open-top containers for breakbulk shipment. Edge and surface protection is available for long ocean voyages.
