Carbon Steel Rebar — Factory Direct Supplier | Huaxia-Steel
Huaxia-Steel supplies high-strength carbon steel rebar (reinforcing bar) for concrete reinforcement in construction, infrastructure, and civil engineering projects. Our rebar is manufactured on modern hot rolling mills with controlled cooling (thermomechanical treatment), producing bars with excellent bond strength, ductility, and weldability. Available in straight bars, coils, and cut-and-bend shapes, we deliver rebar that meets ASTM, BS, DIN, JIS, and GB standards with full mill certification and third-party inspection options.

Product Overview
Reinforcing bar (rebar) is a carbon steel bar used to reinforce concrete and masonry structures. Concrete has high compressive strength but low tensile strength; rebar provides the tensile strength needed to resist cracking and bending forces. The surface of rebar is deformed with ribs or lugs to create a mechanical bond with the surrounding concrete, preventing slippage under load.
Our rebar production includes:
- Hot-rolled ribbed bars: Standard deformed bars in straight lengths (6-12 m) or coils (up to 2 metric tons)
- Thermomechanically treated (TMT) bars: Quenched and tempered surface with soft core for superior strength-to-ductility ratio
- Epoxy-coated rebar: Fusion-bonded epoxy coating (FBE) for corrosion protection in harsh environments
- Galvanized rebar: Hot-dip galvanized for extended corrosion resistance in marine and coastal projects
- Cut-and-bend shapes: Custom-bent stirrups, links, and cages per project drawings

Manufacturing Standards
Our rebar is manufactured and tested in strict accordance with international standards:
- ASTM A615/A615M: Deformed and plain carbon steel bars for concrete reinforcement
- ASTM A706/A706M: Low-alloy steel deformed and plain bars for concrete reinforcement (weldable grade)
- ASTM A775/A775M: Epoxy-coated steel reinforcing bars
- BS 4449: Steel for the reinforcement of concrete — weldable reinforcing steel
- BS 4482: Steel wire for the reinforcement of concrete products
- DIN 488: Reinforcing steel; grades, properties, and marking
- JIS G 3112: Steel bars for concrete reinforcement
- GB/T 1499.2: Steel for the reinforcement of concrete — Part 2: Ribbed bars
- ISO 6935-2: Steel for the reinforcement of concrete — ribbed bars
Applications
Carbon steel rebar is essential for virtually all reinforced concrete construction:
- Building foundations: Footings, pile caps, raft slabs, and basement walls
- Structural frames: Columns, beams, and slabs for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Bridges: Decks, girders, piers, and abutments
- Tunnels and underground: Segmental lining, shotcrete reinforcement
- Dams and reservoirs: Mass concrete reinforcement, spillway structures
- Roads and pavements: Concrete pavement reinforcement, dowel bars
- Retaining walls: Earth-retaining structures, sea walls, and quay walls
- Prestressed concrete: Post-tensioned and pre-tensioned concrete elements

Quality Assurance and Testing
Rebar quality directly affects structural safety. Our testing protocol ensures every batch meets specification:
- Chemical analysis: C, Mn, Si, P, S, Ceq (carbon equivalent) per heat; Ceq ≤ 0.52% for weldable grades
- Tensile testing: Yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation per ASTM A370 or EN ISO 6892
- Bend test: Rebar bent around mandrel to specified diameter without cracking (ASTM A615 Annex A1)
- Rebend test: Bends and rebends to verify aging resistance (BS 4449 requirement)
- Bond test: Pull-out test to verify rib geometry and bond strength with concrete
- Dimensional inspection: Nominal diameter, rib height, rib spacing, and weight per meter
- Coating test (for epoxy): Coating thickness, adhesion, and holiday (pinhole) detection per ASTM A775
- Marking verification: Grade, heat number, and manufacturer identification on every bar
Packaging and Shipping
Rebar is shipped in bundles or coils depending on diameter and customer requirements:
- Straight bars: Bundled with steel strapping (2-4 points per bundle); tagged with grade and heat number
- Coils: Wrapped with hessian cloth or VCI film; secured on wooden pallets or steel saddles
- Cut-and-bend: Shaped bars bundled by shape type and tag-marked with drawing reference
- Loading: Bundles loaded flat in containers; heavy bundles on bottom, lighter on top
- Container capacity: 20′ GP (max 25 tons); 40′ GP (max 26 tons); break-bulk for large orders
- Corrosion protection: Rust-preventive oil for bare bars; epoxy coating is self-protecting
