Product Overview
S20C is the Japanese JIS equivalent of AISI 1020 and DIN C22, containing approximately 0.18-0.23% carbon. This composition provides a balanced combination of strength, ductility, and formability. S20C responds well to carburizing and carbonitriding for surface-hardened components, and welds readily without preheat in sections under 25mm thickness.
