Product Overview
Carbon steel galvanized pipe is produced by forming carbon steel strip into a tube, welding the seam, and then immersing the pipe in a molten zinc bath. The zinc coating adheres metallurgically to the steel surface, providing sacrificial corrosion protection both inside and outside the pipe. Hot-dip galvanizing typically provides 50-100 years of corrosion protection in rural environments and 20-50 years in urban or industrial atmospheres.

Manufacturing Standards
Our galvanized pipe production follows ISO 9001 and ASTM A53/A153 standards. ERW welding is performed with high-frequency induction equipment. After welding, pipes are cleaned in acid pickling baths, fluxed, and immersed in a zinc bath at approximately 450C. Coating weight, adhesion, and uniformity are tested according to ASTM A90 and ASTM A123. Threads, when required, are cut to ANSI B1.20.1 or ISO 7-1.

Quality Assurance
Each batch is tested for coating thickness, coating adhesion, hydrostatic pressure, tensile properties, and dimensional accuracy. Galvanizing bath chemistry is monitored continuously. Mill test certificates include chemical analysis, mechanical tests, and zinc coating weight. Third-party inspection by SGS or BV is available.
Packing and Shipping
Galvanized pipes are bundled with steel straps, capped at both ends, and wrapped in woven plastic or paper. Threaded pipes include steel or plastic couplings. Bundles are marked with size, standard, heat number, and bundle weight. For export, pipes are loaded in containers with proper dunnage to prevent coating damage.
