Huaxia Steel supplies fully-threaded carbon steel rods (also called threaded bar, all-thread rod or studding) in diameters from M6 to M76 (¼” to 3″) and grades 4.8 / 8.8 / 10.9 / B7 / B7M / A36. Our threaded rods are roll-threaded to ASTM A193, ASTM A307, DIN 976-1 and ISO 898 standards, with full mechanical-property certification, hot-dip galvanizing or zinc plating on request, and cut-to-length service for any application from concrete anchoring to flange bolting.
Common Applications by Grade
Grade 4.8 / ASTM A307 threaded rod is the everyday structural-anchoring grade, used for concrete anchor bolts, light-tower tie rods, hand-rail supports, and general construction bracing. It is the lowest-cost option and is supplied either self-colour (black) or hot-dip galvanized. Grade 8.8 is the workhorse of the structural and machinery worlds, equivalent to ASTM A193 B7 at smaller diameters; it is used for flange bolting, structural moment connections, and high-tension anchor bolts. Grade 10.9 is the structural grade above 8.8, often specified in structural-steel fabrications where higher clamping force is required per bolt. ASTM A193 B7 is the high-temperature / pressure-vessel grade, used for ASME B16.5 flange bolting in refineries and petrochemical plants up to 450 °C. ASTM A193 B7M is the sour-service variant of B7, with restricted hardness (HB 235 max) to prevent sulphide stress cracking in H₂S-containing service (NACE MR0175).
Surface finish options: self-colour (black, as-rolled), hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A153 / ISO 1461 (coating thickness 45 – 85 µm depending on rod diameter), zinc electroplated to ASTM B633 (5 – 25 µm), PTFE / Xylan coated, or yellow / blue zinc dichromate. HDG is the most common for outdoor anchoring; zinc plating is preferred for indoor dry environments; Xylan is used in chemical plants. The cost adder is roughly 8% for HDG, 5% for zinc plating, and 12% for Xylan on top of the base rod price.
