Carbon steel H-beam (also called H-section or wide flange beam) is a structural steel profile with two parallel flanges connected by a web, forming an “H” cross-section. Compared with I-beams, H-beams have wider, thicker, parallel flanges and a heavier section modulus — giving superior bending resistance about both axes. Manufacturing Standards

- Welded (built-up) H-beam: flange and web plates joined by submerged arc welding (SAW), straightened and inspected per JG/T 137 or project spec.
