Product Overview
Carbon steel pipe cap is a butt-welding or threaded fitting that closes the end of a pipe, protecting the bore and containing pressure. Caps are specified by ASME B16.9 for butt-welding fittings and ASME B16.11 / B1.20.1 for threaded and socket-weld caps. They are produced from A234 WPB, A105, P265GH, and equivalent grades. Huaxia-Steel supplies carbon steel pipe caps from 1/2″ to 48″, Sch 10 – Sch 160, in seamless and welded construction, with beveled or plain ends and full certification.

Manufacturing Standards
- Hot pressing / forging: seamless pipe or billet is heated and formed into a cap shape, then machined and beveled.
- Welded caps: formed from plate and pipe segments for large diameters; seam NDE per specification.
- Heat treatment: normalized per A234 WPB; A105N normalized for improved toughness.
- Dimensional control: outside diameter, height, wall, and bevel per ASME B16.9.
