Carbon steel concentric reducers provide a smooth, centre-aligned transition between pipes of different diameters. Unlike eccentric reducers, the concentric design keeps the centreline constant, making it ideal for vertical installations and pump suction lines where air pockets must be avoided. Huaxia-Steel manufactures seamless and welded carbon steel concentric reducers to ASME B16.9, EN 10253-1/2 and GOST 17378 with full dimensional control and pressure testing.

Manufacturing Process

  1. Seamless reducers: Hot-formed from seamless pipe using hydraulic bulging or press-forming dies; no welds in the body
  2. Welded reducers: Pressed from plate halves and longitudinally welded; weld seam is 100% radiographed or ultrasonically tested
  3. Heat treatment: Normalizing or stress relieving per material grade and code requirement
  4. Bevelling: Machine bevel to 37.5° ± 2.5° with 0 – 1.6 mm land per ASME B16.25
  5. Finishing: Shot blasting, dimensional inspection and marking
